Ride in the Y on Friday, Feb 22nd??

Been out of town since Friday and haven't checked here either. Just saw on the UAC website that they are reporting 3 caught; 2 carried 40' and 1 carried 1200'

    Anyone know anymore 'bout this??

Sincerely hope all involved are ok; especially the 1200' rider. Having taken a ride from near the bottom to the end of the apron a couple years ago, I know first hand this is no laughing matter.

Scary thing about the "Y" couloir is it's easy access by those who otherwise shouldn't be there. Such as resort skiers with no clue and that demographic.

It's like Teton Pass. The booter access brings out all types.

My second hand info, heard from the person replacing a lost shovel handle, was the ride was from near the top and only 200' not 1200'.
No comment on ease of access.
