Moonlight Basin/Big Sky- Beacon Basin is up

    After months of waiting.

Located on Blue Moon between the bottom of the Challenger Chair and the Iron Horse chair.

This was a cooperative effort between the Big Sky Snow Safety Dept. and the Moonlight Basin Snow Safety dept.

Thanks to Steve C and the rest of the crew at BCA.

    Bunion,

You guys should try the Nerf Football practice method....

Its a lot more realistic then a beacon wasteland.

Not to downplay the contribution made by BCA, but my staff probably won't see too much of the Beacon Basin.

Too easy, do it more than a few times and you know where the beacons are.

We do weekly searches from our posting stations, singles doubles and the occasional oddity thrown in.

Last week one scenario was a double "burial".

There were surface clues to get my crew to scuff and spot probe and actually look for someone who wasn't (gasp!) wearing a beacon.
