This was a cooperative effort between the Big Sky Snow Safety Dept. and the Moonlight Basin Snow Safety dept.

Not to downplay the contribution made by BCA, but my staff probably won't see too much of the Beacon Basin.
Too easy, do it more than a few times and you know where the beacons are.
We do weekly searches from our posting stations, singles doubles and the occasional oddity thrown in.
Last week one scenario was a double "burial".
There were surface clues to get my crew to scuff and spot probe and actually look for someone who wasn't (gasp!) wearing a beacon.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
