To put it simply, I know a lot of people that 'used to alpine' but 'no one who used to tele'.

I have tons of friends that "used to tele" but stopped because the gear sucked and it's inefficient for every condition except for sidestepping.

I quit once already but it didn't take. Maybe the 2nd time...
