    Any engineers know solidworks?

I'm trying to figure out how to use the pre-made bolts in the toolbox. You can choose between all the various heads, but I can't figure out how to change the dimensions. Can't find anything in the help section...anyone familiar with it?

yeah, ive used it a shit ton, but im rusty on the toolbox. I feel like you might have to open the sketch of the bolt and change the dimensions in there. I dont remember that part all too well. If I get on it later ill take a look, i know ive done it before

Pretty sure skiingsamuri is right. Open a "part" file of the bolt you want (seperate from the assemblies file you want ot use it in) and modify it there. Then save it in a folder associated with the assembly so SolidWorks can find it when you open the assembly in the future. Then bring it in the assembly.

thanks for the suggestions. guess i completely missed it, but when i'm in an assembly...once you put the bolt in the position you want, it gives you options on size, length, threads, etc. little quicker than going back and editing the part file...

If it is a common bolt that you are using a lot, can you save it as an option sort of thing?
