    Best pack for ski rigging?

I've always mickey moused something to get my skis up the hill, usually A-Framed over some cheap daypack I have. The weight always swings around on me, and almost never stays comfortable while hiking. I don't skin, cuz I'm a loser.

Who makes the best pack that is ski ready?
Time again for slaughter of pow, bumps, and EC ice.

Search is a good place to start. Lot's of threads on packs with as many opinions.

My new favorite is the Ortovox e-motion 22. Get it at Backcountry.com.

    Osprey switch

I have had good success with an osprey switch pack (2007 model). It can carry either skis or a snowboard. It separates out into a smaller day pack. When the large full version is used its super stable and doesn't swing. Plenty of room for a shovel, and other junk you may take with you. For BCA and snowmobile use, its a great setup.

Try the Deuter packs. Or for a little old school look the Deuter EH Edge 25 or EH Guide.
