Turns out their aim wasn't so bad. Crazy episode tonight. I thought I hated Skyler, but I really hate Marie. So self-righteous. Their mom must have been a peach.

That's more like it.
That was some wild shit. Im so glad Hank got it. That was finale worthy IMO.
Ok, they are forgiven for the end of the last episode, but I agree with the poster who said they just should have shown the first shot being fired. So Walt gets a machine gun, goes after the nazis, gets killed in the process. Will Marie forgive her sister now?
Ozymandias, by Shelley
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away".
Nice.
Marie is only one left deserving of that ricin - unless he has a special hatred for uncle jack now

Intense, but wondering when Walt's iq dropped 40 pts. Handcuffed and on top of your buried 80mil, perhaps offering it to the Aryan brotherhood not the play?
And the family knife fight was just hard to watch.
Time to cook! (Matt Damon's ugly brother is awesome)

Anybody betting Jesse blows up the cook or does some chemistry trick he learned from Walt so he can escape from Todd?
anybody else think that phone call with skylar at the end was a bit too brash and cliche-psycho-abusive-husband to be real? Seemed like he knew the cops would be there and incriminated himself as much as possible in an attempt to absolve skylar. Something seemed to click with him for a split second when he saw junior and skylar cowering on the floor.
I don't think he's going to get killed in the end, it's been much too dark lately for it to end that easy for him. I bet he either watches something awful happen to his family and has to live with it, or he wastes away in a hospital with no flowers or cards on the bedside table.
I think it's pretty clear that the "mama" scene with Holly is what turned Heisenberg back to Walt and he remembered that his original goal was to protect his family. The call to Skylar was totally to protect her, he knew the call was tapped and it was killing him to have to do it (hence his silent sobs in the pauses) but it was the only way to try to spare her now that he was going to take the fall for two dead DEA agents. From Skylar's expression, I'm pretty sure she realized what he was doing. I think this episode was Walt's Darth Vader-style last minute change of heart; he finally realized that his run as king is done and that all he has left is to try to protect his family from the fallout. My guess is that same realization is what will cause him to head back and try to get Jesse out of his meth prison with the ricin and the M60 in the next two episodes.
Other predictions:
- Lydia's got to get her due. This show always punishes hubris, and she's got it in spades.
- Same for Todd and Jack; some of the other Nazis might survive but not them. Makes sense that Jesse will do Todd in with a lab explosion, since he's Walt's understudy and that's how Walt did their very first kill.
- I don't see Walt going out by a bullet. The cancer's what started this, the cancer is what's going to end it. Gilligan likes thematic symmetry too much not to (see: opening flashback in this episode back to the beginning of the series).
Oh, and Todd's mumbled "Sorry for your loss" in the desert - after helping with the shootout that killed Hank and Gomie - was the best line of the episode. Dude has polite/creepy absolutely nailed.

Todd is the most interesting character left. Total psychopath.
I'm a little surprised that the Nazis are still interested in the meth operation despite their recent acquisition of 70 million dollars. But I guess they kind of took care of that with the greed remark that Uncle Jack made to Walt.
I also loved the symbolism of Hank getting buried in the same hole where Walt hid is money, meaning Walt's meth empire literally and figuratively "dug Hank's grave" so to speak.
I think you're spot on with almost everything in your analysis and predictions except for Todd/Jesse. Did anyone else find it weird that in the aftermath of the gunfight Jack is like "Where's Jesse?", and wasn't Todd's reply "Oh I think he went down the wash"? He was under the car the whole freaking time. I think Todd was trying to protect Jesse because they have a history - so no lab explosion death for Todd. I have no predictions beyond that.
edit: Or maybe Todd really does just want to have a cook slave.

Dontcha remember? Todd is lusting after Lydia, and he may be thinking that, if he cooks up the good blue stuff, she'll suck his dick. The last time we saw them together, she challenged him to perfect the product, looking deep in his psychotic eyes. Maybe the other Nazis could care less at this point. He's doing this for love.
Lydia def has to end badly. Didnt she dodge a bullet from Mike twice and WWs ricin once. Agreed that her hubris is gonna cost her. She might shield Todd when Walt has his "say hello to my little friend" moment.
