Slide occured at Turnagain, near Girdwood. 3Snowmachiners were buried, one survived. One of the fatalities was a pro rider with Turnagain Hardcore and Slednecks, Christoph von Alvensleben.

fuckin weak!!!! I was on my honeymoon when my buddy called me and told me the news! I knew Christoph pretty well. We went to school together, worked as instructors together at Hilltop Ski Area.
He was an amazing snowboarder and even better on a sled!
