Cool MMang & Odin TR: Part 2 Yankees 1

Sometimes the best days start with the most amazing difficulties, and I REALLY had to take a shit.

Morning dawned on the day after the tsaina. The luxurious beats still filled my head of the moose hippy jam band from fairbanks that played, my mind a kalidascope of twirling hippy girls spasming to the music (off-beat of course).

Thoughts of Gretchen serving up the meals, hippie chick talking to smoove-in-training-mountain-mang, and ski porn on the big screen all brings to mind, swirling spasmotic hippie girls getting freaky on the dance floor.

Of course that was last night and today was a new day. A day brought on by thoughts of more skiing to be had.

Our ambition abated as our legs and lungs took stock of the route ahead. Plans were changed, then changed, then changed back, then another U turn, then changed back to the changed back area.

Finally the zinc was applied, the skins were taught and the trip was underway. It was then that ForgetfulMang remembered his helmet back in the car. So, the zinc slowly melted off, the skins remained on the skis and the trips stalled as he scampered back across the river and grabbed the forgotten gear.

I had decided at this point that fecal forgetfullness was in order and we began the ascent. My legs came into a new form and it seemed as though the air in my lungs was fresher. It must have been the Hostess Vanilla Zinger breakfast I had before beginning today!

    (ZINGER: Breakfast of skinning champions)

We crested the skin into the mouth of the upper reaches of schoolbus on the other side of goodwills and such. It was then decided that rain crust with a mixture of sun bake made the north facing couloirs suck donkeys, so we decided to head all the way up and see what we found.

    **Anticlimatic Section**

We found creamy soft snow on the south face and we weedled our way back down the road to hitch back to the car. It was great.

5 hrs later we were drinking kokanee and playing video games, 4 hrs later than that it was time to go back to anchorage to make MountainMang's flight.

    Arrividerci! Auf Viedersein! Guten Tag!

Thanks and May Fortune Smile Upon Your Poo!

mmang is the one heating up, he has all the pics from yesterday. I have nothing, and I am broke! YEE HAW!

Turns were super smooth on the South Face and I managed to scare myself and a ptarmagin at the same time as I turned into birds that were nesting. (Gramatical Error intentional indicating either me turning into a bird or me turning directionally into a bird)

I also almost ran into a marmot this morning at aboot 2:30 am or so.

Not even the free drinks the drunken bell ringers were buying us at Tsaina could blur my beer goggles enough to pick up hippy chick even when i was forced back in to go get her.

Marmot huh? I say it was a bear. But maybe it was just the Kokanee that i had decided to start drinking at 1:30 in the morning talking.

Flights suck and so do layovers but its always nice to have the Utarded Chick Valet service to pick me up. Thanks Altachic and Sandydaskier.

Wind blows, hard...and thats what it was doing in SLC all day. Enough to delay my plane an hour and a half tonight so that i could get home at 12:00.

Pics shall come tomorrow, or someday when i'm feeling ambitious.
