Board size for Never Summer SL

I am currently riding a NS Titan 160. I'm just an intermediate boarder. The Titan is the first board that I have owned, and it was actually a little big for me to begin with. I wanted the 156 b/c i'm 5'9" @ 160 lbs. However, my local shop only had a 160 and he convinced me that I could grow into it. I'm actually thankful that I got the 160 now...

Given that I am currently on a 160 Freeride board, what board size would you guys recommend for a freestyle/park (NS SL) board. I want a board that I can do 180's and more tricks with, and the SL seems like the perfect board for me. (The titan is only made to ride one direction...but it is very stable at high speeds.) I'm debating b/w the 155 and the 158. I called Never summer and the person I spoke with told me that he can't really give me a perfect answer. He said he would recommend 155, 158, or the 161. Then, he said I would probably want to move down a size since it's my trick board. I already figured that....

    Thank in advane.

You should sell your Titan and not bother with the SL. As an intermediate you don't need a quiver of boards yet. Get a 157cm Premier which is more your size and way more versatile and forgiving than a Titan.

There's one for sale in Gear Swap.

My bad, thanks in advance. Dont know how that was typed.

Well, I think an SL board will be more my style. I'll just retire the Titan to powder days.

I just got back from Jacksonhole today. It was the first time on the Titan. It felt big the first couple days, but the 3rd and 4th day I liked it...

Hey d-bag - here's something for you to think about: maybe (just maybe) not everybody here has their little panties in a wad 24/7 and flies into a rage whenever somebody disagrees with them. Maybe these same mags don't take this place uber-seriously. Maybe this even includes the vast majority of the people who post here as opposed to you and like 20 other thin-skinned douchebags. Just something to think about. -JER

Why??? The Titan is not a powder board, not close. Please ask these types of questions (and subsequently ignore all the the tech advice given) in Tech Talk.

Actually, I'd just use the Titan when I wanted to speed. I just think my style is more suited for the SL now. Previously, I thought I'd never attempt to do tricks. I changed my mind along the way after I tried some.
