I have a serious case of Senioritus.

Holy shit. I have been doing 4 day weekends almost every weekend since the semester started. I am only taking 10 credits and I am having a very hard time focusing. All I can think about is shooting and skiing and trying to plan future trips.

When As and Bs just came naturally the past 2 years I will be struggling to get Cs. Totally normal I'm sure. Good thing I have zero plans to go to grad school, so my GPA is not very important at all.

My last year in college was my best one. I was also taking 20 credits for 2 out of 3 quarters. I'm pretty sure my last quarter was my best.

I got my procrastination out of the way sophmore year with a few 10-12 credit quarters. I did manage to finish in 4 years, which was nice. I was far past the "over it" stage by the time I graduated.

My easiest semester in college (9 hours) was also my worst, grade-wise. My best was my hardest.

    Same.

I just looked over my undergrad trascripts while applying to grad school and my senior year was the smallest class load, lots of general education classes to fulfill requirements... and my worst GPA by quite a bit.

Don't sweat it. Cs get degrees.

I have the same problem only it's 3L law school-itis
I have a great job locked up.
    All my classes bore me
I live in philly and my school is in newark so I have to commute
I have class mon and wed. only so I have 4 day weekends.
I know the bar sucks and I have to bust my ass this summer so there's no incentive to do anything before that.
If it wasn't for mandatory attendence I don't think I would ever go.

I don't mean to sound like your dad here, but: just because you don't have any plans to go to grad school now, who knows how you'll feel in three years? Five years?

You've got two months left- finish strong, dood. Getting shitty grades only closes off avenues you might want to go down in the future. Better to study a few hours more per week and keep your options open.

I thought the exact same thing when I was a senior. Plans change.

IOW, don't fuck up too bad and close doors for the future.

I never had the option to have senioritis. In high school I needed the grads to get into university. At university I needed the grades to get into vet school. At vet school grades didn't mean shit, but I needed to learn everything so I won't be a clueless vet. Senior year in vet school is all clinical rotations, so you have to stand up in front of your peers and professors so you have to know your shit, probably the most stressful part of all.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

I like this, like it alot.

But you need to add the weed. You are almost out of college and we all know you just can't do that kind of stuff after graduation.

Grad school for film is probably the most retarded thing ever though. Its not like I am in business and may want to go get my MBA or something. My major GPA is only a 3.1 and my overall GPA is like 2.4.

As you can tell from those grades I hate school.

I always thought it was harder to get a F in college than an A.

If you are a senior and haven't figured out how to game school without doing much work and still get really good grades, well...

    sucks to be you.

tell me aboot it, rockin 12 hrs my last semester. I do have intentions to go to grad school, got a pretty decent GPA (3.65) in Finance. But I'm going back to my insomniac ways, going to sleep around 4:30, which makes my 11 AM Fixed Income security class impossible to get to.

My main concern now is getting a job, which doesn't look to hot in the current market. We'll see what happens, I'm hoping to light a fire under my ass in the next couple of days before midterms.

Ditto. The best thing about my final year(s) of college was finally knowing all the loopholes and shortcuts to still get good grades with minimal effort.

Has anyone figured out how much this guy's parents must be getting soaked for his worthless degree/2.4 GPA?

Out-of-state tuition + books + Boulder living expenses + skiing (equipment/lift tickets/road trips) + car + God knows what else.

Must be well north of $50K a year. In my next life, I'm going to request being born into a rich family.

Man, I definitely know what you're talking about. You at least can ski every weekend. I live in a suburb of Philly with my parents, and I'm a Senior as well. Every night I come home with the best intentions of doing work and whatnot, but I end up on here and expedia and bc.com (with the SAC program already running) checking weather patterns and season totals. I used to get A's and be an authority on current events , politics, and history, but now I wait until the last minute to do anything and I end up checking back here after every paragraph of a paper and every chapter of a book.

EDIT: lionelhutz, I thought you were living up there and seeing the girl on weekends. Fuck...beers sometime?
"Oh, no pics. To simulate the skiing today, walk out your door, grab a handful of snow, and throw it in your face. Repeat as necessary.
If you don't have snow outside your door, what the fuck are you living there for?"

IDK. Even for non-residents Boulder really isn't all that pricey. Tuition/Room/Board is around 20K. Hell, my last year of school (1998) Daddy was paying over 30K just for tuition.

My dad paid 1500 bucks for college back the 1970s. I dont know if you knew this...but tuition prices have risen ummm, quite a bit since 1998. Like probably 60% higher.

Yeah, USC and NYU Film Schools are for suckers....

...who want to actually MAKE MOVIES. Good luck, bro. This is a Dog-eat-Dog world and you've chosen a very saturated field.
