    As long as I'm in front of Rasputin thats all that matters (which doesn't happen very often).

    I remember my "first chair" days much more vividly than the 15th chair days. There is no denying that feeling of nothing but untouched in front of you, with rabid killers on your heels.

    I think I've been first chair almost a third of my days this season, we're having a better than usual season, so there has often been the necessary impetus to get going early. I like being there and watching the day unfold. Talk to the lifties and ski patrol, say hi to the groomer drivers etc.

    Looking down at the untracked from the first chair borders on mystical at times. First tracks are my mission.
