    Revelstoke Maggots Feb 13 - 15 ?

Wondering who might be at Revelstoke for Feb 13, 14, 15 ?

I have three days there and have never been there before, some insider or someone who has been there before info would be great.

Would be nice to make some turns and have some drinks with some maggots as well.

    I'm not hard to spot:
Silver Giro 9MX with peak, Orange and Grey Marmot Soft Shell, Blue pants with white trim, Orange Freeride 130 Langes, Original Orange Dynastar Legen 8800's

Buddy:Black Giro, Fire engine Red Salomon pants and jacket, Orange Tecnica boots, Red Volkl AC4's.
It ain't skiing till your a$$ is puckered

I'm not a Revelstoke local, or a maggot yet, but I've been to Revy a few times. Jalepeno was my favorite run - treemendous trees skier's right of the main cut line. North bowl is cool too, and involves a short hike out at the bottom so there is less traffic there. Definitely not secret insider knowledge but that's all I've got. . .

My roommate was there last weekend and she said the snow was great. You should have a wicked time wherever you go on the hill.
I don't pretend to know all the answers, or even the questions. Hey, where am I?

To the left and right of The Stoke (chair) are some rope lines with Avalanche Warning signs. I think their only purpose is to keep the tourists contained. You can traverse right (off the chair) all the way to the ski area boundary (Jalapeno) or all the way left to the North Bowl lower entrance. Going left to Vertigo/Separate Reality/Critical Path means trees and ending up back at the bottom of The Stoke. Going right past Devil's Club means skiing all the way to the bottom. So start on the Vertigo side and when you're tired of that switch to the less popular Roller Coaster/Hot Sauce/Jalapeno side.

The top third has great tree skiing but lower the trees are too tight and there's too much deadfall.
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

You can make the stoke from Jalepeno/south bowl area as well. There is a marked (pink/orange/blue flags) goat path from devils club back to the chair, not for the faint of heart or inexperienced though. It's tight.

I won't be there, but normally go every winter. I seldom check run names & have no memory for them when I do.

Cat track return from terrain via traverse on skiers right from lift at base left. It's a flat step down to the track; hipcheck it. On the way out, look carefully for bright white patches through the thick boughs while on traverse. Use speed & mind the wells while blocking low hanging branches on the field perimiter with your forearms to access untracked fluffy lumpy-terrained powder fields that await.

Traverse far enough & you'll get steeper clearcut stuff that terminates at the road. Put out a thumb & catch a ride back to base.
