In the light of your statements harshness I'd love to hear more about your "experience" with scamming in Europe etc.

Whoa, you guys are just a little sensitive about how "hard" you all ski. Must be another euro thing .

And Telepath, I'll wager any day that I have much more experience skiing in Europe than you have skiing in the States. But then that would going down the path of which country "skis harder" which I agree is stupid.

Damn, you don't know when to stop. You just keep digging and digging and digging.

I would wager you will lose that wager.

Hey, you said something very stupid and you got called on it. Deal with it.

FYI The same thing has happened to me and most other people here (although maybe we didn't make such wildly unsupportable claims as you did). Heck, it happens to AKPM about 2 in 3 posts he makes. And he makes a lot of posts. Get over it.

We would be interested in hearing about all these "scams" that you say are so common in Europe though, rather than how much more you think you know about Yurp than Telepath knows about North America.

A guy with whom I drank beer and shared conversation in la grave and who treated me like a brutha from the moment I met him. ......
I'm so tired of paying $750 for my pocket rockets...
If you're so DL on La Grave, then you would know the reference to Coco was not an insult. But you didn't know that, so I guess you can call yourself a moron. I'm not the one posting "huffy, bitchy" comments, Einstien.

One suggestion would be to say publicaly that you ski on Pocket Rockets, let alone ever pay for them. It damages your credibility.

I don't believe I have said anything "stupid." You, on the other hand, seem very insecure about your place in skiing. You should deal with that on your own, and quit calling people names on the internet.

Since you really "need to know," if call ahead you usually only pay for the rental car and maybe plane tickets, and some meals. I think Euproe is better than the States in this regard as skiing is more a way of life than just a commerical/real estate venture.

I know in the UK they don't stress reading skilz (its easier for you'all to play John Wayne and shoot form the hip), but read again my response to Telepath.

I've never met Coco. Thought that might be who you were talking about but - as I haven't met him - didn't know what you were trying to say by it. All I know is that he got stoned a lot but was a pretty strong rider. Anyway, it would be nice if you explained what you meant. And if you do know him well I know a lot of people who would be interested to know what happened to him.

One piece of advice: listen to everyone and stop digging yourself in deeper.

BTW If you bothered to look around you would see that any reference on this board to Pocket Rockets is totally tongue in cheek. In this case it was directed mockingly at the idiocy of your posts. A mocking that you are proving more and more that you deserve. I don't know if I know you in "real life" but you are making a dick of yourself here.

Well, no shit. Gosh, didn't know that one. Thanks for pointing that out. Really. I owe you one.

Maybe you should be reading my posts under the same light, JONG.

Lots of people ski better than me, lots of people ski worse than me. I have no insecurity about how I ski, I just go up the mountain and try to have as much fun as I can. In the first place I was calling you on a bullshit statement. At no point have I tried to defend my own abilities. There's no reason to.

I don't really understand what you mean about calling ahead. It would be good if you could explain.

You can carry on attacking stuff like "reading skills" but it'll only make you look more of an idiot. I hope you realise I'm only calling half the dumb shit you are spouting - I really would feel like too much of an internet geek if I went through all of it.

So why were you ripping on Natty because he made a comment about PRs? You truly are an idiot, contradicting all the stuff you've already said. Heck, I feel like a bastard for just pointing it out.

I don't think you are in much of a position to call me a JONG. Fool.

    Haha.
No, I wasn't trolling. I've just been called a JONG so many times I wanted to throw one out there myself. Probably should have used the winky symbol.

It would be cool if you answer some of the questions I asked rather than carry on bitching. Seriously, I am interested.

Wouldn't the american skiing culture make for easier scamming etc? At least in the french alps I find it pretty hard to see how employees could be scamming or passing off free or discounted services. But hey; what do I know?

As for the more personal wager that you know so much more than me about this and that; heck - I'll just let that drop. Or if you are such an expert on LG you'll also know easily find out who I am and be able to contact me directly/backchannel. Considering I am trying to make a living out of knowing the ski industry etc. I am always interested in learning more.

I am by now getting quite interested by who you are. If you have been a bunch in LG I would prolly know; but one thing is weird then. In LG I have pretty much only met really nice americans (I'm taking a guess that you are american..?) among those staying for long. Your way of communicating and accusing and suggesting stuff like bad reading skills does not in any way resemble anyone I've met in LG. But hey; there are plenty of other examples on this board of people who are nice in real life but comes across as jerks on the net.
