its not a big deal really. anyone can ski it if you can make hop turns. i did it at night, it was spooky, but fun. there is rnough light at night, and its the stealth way. the way i was taught.

I doubt anybody would claim it on the internet.

And yeah, I know who it was. Not that that makes me special. Just saying.

tahoegnar you'll get all fucked up on the tram face there are some serious lines up there and they are not to easy to locate because of the severe roll over effect, you can get seriosly cliffed out. Oh yea, I will claim a line the "Toilet Bowl" area directly under the tram line, lookers right of Slyvester's. HInt, hint : don't tell anyone but this area is now in bounds and boundries have been expended at squaw everywhere.

I'll try to find another one. It does fill in more, but usually does not get much in the way of coverage. It is an absolutely insane area. Props to whoever laid it down, When I lived at Squaw I used to love seeing tracks on it in the morning. There is an account of a tram face descent gone wrong in Squawllywood which is scary.

From the looks of it a couple of skiers skied Silvester's and tram Chute on two different nights earlier in the week. Where their new tracks put down this morning?

Occasionally they open Shirley Canyon to the right of the cable-car which is accessed via Broken Arrow - I did the chute just off the picture. I suspect, then, that the Tram Face is rarely skied because it's hard, not because of avalanche danger - it's too steep to hold much snow. That, and ski patrol really don't want to be rescuing the thread starter from up there.

That's the reason I've always heard.

I think doc gaffney states the same in that little ski book of his.

Both in skier caused slides and the ensuing bombing that would have to occur if they opened it.
