Heh, that's Chris Tedesko of Squaw at 40th, I read the results incorrectly. Chris Tatsuno was 12th. I was 44th.

I followed Gernblandsen into Light Towers at the end of the day and was stoked on my turns so I picked up the pace a little and hit a patch of crust. My left ski took off on its own and I went down the fall line on one ski until I tomahawked, (think of the video by adventure film works of the tomahawk dog down crescent chute). Craig Garbiel said it was one of the biggest falls he saw today. I thought at the end of the day, the dude that went the farthest lookers right at the bottom, slipped on firm snow and dropped out of view was the biggest crash. Someone was standing in front of me when Ty fell, so I missed his initial impact.

I have a big puffy black eye and some scrapes on my forehead where my goggles meet my helmet and my torso feels like it got run over by a truck. I guess I faceplanted and somersaulted a few times? I just remember the snow inches from my face and coming in FAST...then I was trying to wave to the crowd to say I was ok. definitely one of my top 3 or so gnarliest falls since i've been skiing.

(did we meet or chat at all up there? sorry if I don't remember Gern Blansten was one of my favorite record labels back in the day...heh).

Anyone have results from today? I went off sledding up castle peak so I could cry alone in solitude...

And good luck to everyone in finals tomorrow, and better luck to everyone else who ate it. I know I'm cranking my dins some more for crested...
You're going to turn them up from 15? Good call. You know, I could just bring some epoxy and a drill, and we could toss the bindings entirely and just attach your skis directly to your boots. It would save weight, too.

Seriously, Nads...maybe you should check the forward pressure, toe height, wing adjustments. Before cranking them up. Remember what happened at Red? Let's be sensible, eh?

[QUOTE=Gerome;1694948]Heh, that's Chris Tedesko of Squaw at 40th, I read the results incorrectly. Chris Tatsuno was 12th. I was 44th.

I love it when people mistake me for Tatsuno, but his leprechaun steeze far outshines my costume!
