Obviously you don't love this girl. So really you need to ask yourself how hot is she and how good is she in bed? This makes a big difference since you and her aren't gonna make it for the long run.

If she is smoking than that may offset her obvious lack of personality. Or is she a complete screamer in the sack? As this could also offset the aforementioned lack of personality. Although, as you described her as lacking passion I assume this means in the bedroom as well. Really we need pictures and detailed descriptions/videos to really advise you on how to proceed.

However you can start changing the dynamic now. Be noncommital and vague. Don't lie because that will get you into trouble in the long run. By not saying anything but slowly changing your actions you can ease yourself out of full on girlfriend territory and slide into a hook up/booty call relationship. Start calling her less, always stay at her place, try to avoid definate plans, and make a point to talk about how your going out with your friends while not including her. Eventually she won't know what's going on and will be waiting for that next drunken late night sleepover for a little validation.

If you told her you love her disregard everything as you are screwed.

I think it depends on how good the 7-layer dip she makes is.

the best day in my life was when i gave up my girlfriend for skiing. it is the most important choice you can ever make. unless she's really hot and likes to gob your knob. you won't get that from just anyone.

I don't have a lot in common with my girlfriend. We're opposites in a great many ways, I tend to be very passionate and aggressive and my job and activities and whatnot reflect this. She's very passive and doesn't have a strong passion for the outdoors or recreation or anything that I try and spend all of my free time doing. The thing is though, it's not that we're interested in different things, she's just a very quiet person by nature, doesn't really have any major passions or anything...

Today she asked me how I was doing and when I mentioned that I was tired and sore (I've been skiing a lot in the past month) she asked if it was worth it. The question kind of floored me as I never even quesiton whether it'll be worth it... a day in the mountains is where I feel like I'm me. When I'm stuck in town working or compulsively reading weather forecasts I'm bored and a completley different person.

Anyway, I don't see this relationship lasting long term. At the same time I've not got any other girl in mind or anything, and selfishly I realize that I definitely like the companionship and not sleeping alone and whatnot. I'm pretty certain that she feels more "in love" with me than I do with her (which is not to say I don't care quite a bit about her...) so I really don't know what to do.

I fired my girlfriend, moved out, and relocated myself to a ski town.

Another vote to move on. But see if she wants to hook with another chick and you first though. And do it before Valentines Day or it will be harder to do.

Pass her around to some local mags who can then tell you whether she's worth keeping or not.

When you break up with her, she'll want to go on a rebound. I'm calling dibs on that.

where to start with this one....hmmm, is she hot or is she not, is she good in bed or does she lust lay dead, does she have a kind face or do you hide at her place, does she support your habit or should she be wearing one...

Ok, she doesn't ski. Why is this even a question? I personaly require a girl to ski as well or better than I do. And her skis must be 100mm+ in the waist or it's a deal breaker.

    is it worth it?
Well is she so awsome in the sack that your worried that you won't find someone like her again?

I haven't had a ski day that wasn't worth it. (maybe that's why i'm single) and besides you'll never have to hear "but you ski all the time and i never see you blah blah blah" just becuase you haven't heard it doesn't mean you won't.

    find someone who skis

Good point. I guess I am the true jong I live too far from the mountains to be anything but a satellite maggot anyway. I'll point out that I've been posting on these damned interweb forums since Feb 1, 1999 - a legacy of jongness forever stored by google. I had a fascination with newsgroups back then

I concur, but wonder if it would properly be "Holy old schoolEDness"???
If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?
