Thailand Area Surfing?

Just throwing this out there to see if anybody knows anything.

Planning a long trip to Thailand and the surrounding areas in October and November of this year. Wondering if anybody knows of any surf areas close to this part of the world?

Would be with my wife, we are relative beginner/intermediate surfers. Would be liking for nice easy surfing in a pretty setting.

Thanks in advance for any advice. Also, if you've traveled there and have any non surf suggestions i'd love to hear about it was well.
