    Prophet 100 vs. Salomon Gun

    Anyone tried them both?

Numerous searches turn up good reviews for 100's/ Karhu Teams.

Guns look soft and fun too, but durability may be an issue w/ sollies. A friend sent the rowdiest line I've seen on Highlife at the Butte last week sporting those, so perhaps that's proof enough.

    Thoughts?

depends what you want out of the ski: both would be classified as "fun all rounders" but they perform quite differently. i own the prophets (this year's) and they truly are epic do-it-all skis. i can't speak highly enough of them. guns (07) i tested for 4 days and they are super-fun to play around on all over the hill but aren't as capable a charger as the prophets. they tended to flap a bit in sketchy stuff/crud, an arena where i felt the prophets inspired more confidence. as for durabilty, the prophets (i've had about 30 days on them so far) still feel brand new. can't pass comment on the guns, but i'd be surprised if the foam doesn't lose its life a la its predecessor...

bottom line: more playful=guns, more charging=prophets.

    heads or tails?
    Today ridicule, tomorrow really cool.
