    Find the Cat

One of the coolest experiences for me this past winter was a solo snowshoe in the West Castle wilderness of Alberta. It was just a simple walk through the woods to scope lines for some other day or year. There where cat tracks everywhere. On my way back a lynx? appeared about 20-30 yards in front of me. The cat stopped, looked and then disappeared into the thick. About three minutes later I heard what sounded like a little dog barking/crying.

Anyways, I was able to get a shot off as it slinked into the woods but I can’t seem to find the damn thing. (laptop) Anyone see it?

The question mark about the lynx is because if my memory serves right the cat had a longer tail then what I can find in field books. Maybe a juvenile mountain lion? The cat looked about the size of a 60lb lab.
Dark gray with faded looking spots and about a two foot tail.

It’s so quiet, it’s so cool, it’s so cold

You must have a crappy LCD to be wanting a CRT.

I think powho has the most likely candidate...
