    Avalanche Size Classification

In Canadian avi reports, they classify the sizes of avi's the control work from 1-3, 3 being the largest. Could someone define specifically what each of these sizes are? As in Size 2 has a length x crown, y crown depth, that ran z distance. I couldn't find it in the Avalance.ca Glossary or any of the books I own.

In Canada avi sizes range from 1-5, 4's & 5's are very rare because they are huge. If you follow your link to the glossary and then look under 'Avalanche Size Classification (Canada)'. Its not a great definition

If you read the above page above it compares the US and Canadian size classifications.
