Need help finding an old thread!

A little over a year ago someone posted pics/link regarding a climbing accident involving a wedding ring and a guy getting his finger pulled off like a glove. I believe it occured in UT. Anyway, I would like to try and find those pictures to serve as a reminder for my climbing students to take off their "bling". I have searched but have run out of ideas on key words. Any help would be great!

    This should do it.

No exactly what I was thinking of. Might freak a few of the younger climbers out more than I hoped for.

I've heard of it happening, though.

I'm pretty sure it was here, I don't spend too much time on any other forums. I tried a google search as well and found nothing. The photos were of the finger, and the remaining bone. The skin and meat had been pulled from the bone at the ring. The way I remember the story was the pics were taken by a climbing instructor while on a trip in UT. It happened far away from any medical help so they bandaged up the guy as best as they could and called it a day.

The reason for this is that I have recently had a number of well to do women taking classes and they make a fuss when I have them remove the glass door knobs from their hands. I think the pictures would have a greater effect than my words.

Ok, so if it's not on this board, and Utards know of or have heard of this TR?

    UM,

Thanks, I thought I was going crazy. I have made it through 20+ pages on Google searchin climbing injuries/finger amputation and have struck out. I would guess it was posted in 2006ish, summer or early fall.

Link in that thread goes nowhere, but a google image search for Degloving +Finger or Degloved +Finger finds a lot of carnage

Your verbal description and proscription, plus a few pictures will be more effective at getting the idea across.
