Seth Vicious Flex on Fatter ski??

I know many people say the seths are noodles but they are such a easy ski to ski. What ski has similar flex but is wider at the foot(110-120) Just wondering for future purchase.

I thought the 189 aren't supposed to be noodly - just the 179 and 169?

AK Enemy I would think. I went from Maden AKs (now AK Enemy) to '07 Seths and they feel similar, just wider.

IMHO, the Sumo is nothing like the Seth (Vicious or Pistol), and nothing like the Made'n/Kahuna.

The older Pistols were pretty close to the Made'n/Kahuna, but a lot lighter.

P4's and sumos are stiffer, Made'Ns and Sanouks are a bit softer . Maybe scratch Steeze. I really want a pair of Made'Ns but there hard to find in good condition. Maybe the new OBsethed will be in the ballpark 105 under foot rockered tip and prolly the same flex of the Vicious.
    I ski therefore I am.

Thanks for all the input. What about the Sir Francis Bacons(08 model). they seem very apealing to me but mabe too soft for icy entrances or frozen corn in the spring?? Oh and yes next year seth will be mine.

yea i hear ya / agree

just at a loss for what other skis that size with a somewhat soft to medium flex.

Im under the impression a 189 seth isnt that soft and close to a 4 on marsh's scale. Ive never had the chance to hand flex a 190 Sumo, but i thought the 175 Sumo was pretty close to a 4 as well.

Having hand flexed a 189 maden a lot, i also wouldnt call it the same as a seth, but it seems pretty similar to it despite the softer flex.

I guess theres a slight hole in the market for skis that are 110-120mm wide that are identical to the seth

I think the P4 is another good alternative as already mentioned.

    Nordica Blower perhaps?
I thought the BD Zealot were rather stiff?

    thats what i thought too

endre's ski flex chart seems to indicate this perceived stiffness is from the camber and not the ski flex itself.

    If you want some Blowers, I have a near-mint / once-drilled pair for $300.

Much softer. I haven't skied the Bacons, just hand-flexed, but I have some O.G. 179 Seth Pistols that are absolutely hammered and de-cambered and they still hand-flex stiffer than the Line ski.

Seths = soft in the tip, much stouter and railable underfoot.

I think next year' Seth goes up to about 105mm underfoot. You may want to wait. It will have rocker albeit modest from what I've read.

What about the Bluehouse Districts? Sure looked soft in that video from awhile back...

Also second the recommendation on checking out the Nordica Blower. I have a pair in 193; it's kind of a weird feeling ski to ski, in that you can't drive the tips at all, but if you stay centered and balanced, it actually handles well -- pow, crud, chop, hardpack, whatever. The soft tip flaps around, but doesn't push the ski off its line. Weird feeling if you're used to something like an Explosiv.
