Things to do in SLC when you're dead

I'm coming to SLC with 5 other guys for 5 days of skiing, but I'm gimped out with a broken collarbone...so I probably won't be getting out at all. While everyone else is skiing, I'll be bored, so I dug around the forums to see what there is to do and see in SLC:

Plenty of good restaurant recommendations: Thread 1 | Thread 2

How/Where to drink beer and listen to music: Thread 1 | Thread 2 | Thread 3

If you want a tattoo: Thread 1 |

Or if you want to ride a horse: Thread 1 |

Go sightseeing in & around SLC: Thread 1 |

Does anyone have any updated recommendations? The only other thing I was thinking was to just sit on the patio outside of GMD and drink PBRers until everyone is done skiing, but I'm afraid I might get arrested. Thanks in advance for help or extra-witty comments.

5 days in utah w/o skiing? That's....hmmm....a lot of PBR.

I'd check out the Hog Wallow at least once, not sure when they open tho. There's a pretty cool used bookstore downtown, Sam Wellers or sumpin like that. Pioneer park has some fun locals...

5 days...hell i'd either book a flight to mexico or even hop the bus down to Mesquite...at least there's gambling and relative warmth there...
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

I hear they have a nice choir downtown.
Shut your eyes and think of somewhere. Somewhere cold and caked with snow.

there you go, would be a good memory.

A Few years down the road..........

Nate: "So you remember when we went to Utah and Richard got baptized in to the Mormon faith?"

    Dave: "Oh, yeah! Owned!"

Jake: "How much did He drink that day?"

Adam: "Twice as much as you drank the whole trip, Jake!"

Richard: "Man, I gotta stop drinking gin."

So as long as you're just sitting there, IRON MY SHIRT!! Then get dinner on the table. Nate likes his red wines about 56F.

And when you're done, turn the gas back on for Hayward. They're freezing their asses off!! Just be glad you're there and missed the -25F temps last night.

WHEN IN SLC BE SURE TO GOTO THE TEMPLE

Ask the mormons if you can sit in on a 'backstage wedding'. You'll get to see them wear Adam and Eve skirts, wipe oil all over themselves, and learn about the secret names they get on wedding day!

    Check it out

Just giving you a little shot to the ribs. Maybe you'll forget about the pain in your shoulder...

It's tough to be a smartass in this thread, but *someone* put me up to it... I got nothin' - don't know shit about Utah...

    I know - weak sauce.

It's supposed to be pretty nice in MN this weekend though!

I second the GET BAPTIZED! (while drunk)

If you get cold feet you can always start screaming in gibberish and writhing on the floor.

No way! This is an awesome suggestion...they even have "Into the Wild" which my town is too lame to get in any theaters.

Hopefully that place is nicer than the other movie theater that I went to that served beer...it was in Biloxi, MS and the theater seats were just those cheap plastic lawn furniture. You could drink cheap beer out of keg cups and eat chicken wings and just toss them on the floor. To clean the theaters, someone just ran down the room with a high pressure hose. Just nasty.
