pssst...can anyone spare some website building software?

I'll return it in good shape, honest.
Or, if anyone has links to forums/sites that can walk an idiot through building a 5-10 page, basic, no e-commerce/back end site, that would be peachy as well.

    Thank you,
    The Management.

Do you have a strategy- CSS template, fancy flash (not recommended for first effort) basic html, or something server side like PHP or ? There are a few different open source packages out there that you may want to check out- PC or Mac OS?

IF PC then NVu, Alleycode, Webniac, Coffeecup has a free and paid version both, there are others too.

Just stay away from Frontpage or the Microsoft replacement in Office suite- it may be easy to get and pick up but creates really bad code that tends to be very Internet Explorer specific.

People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

I almost forgot I think Google has some web building stuff. That is if you don't like notepad.

Mozilla SeaMonkey HTML Editor (Free BTW)
If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?

Courage + believe = life. Life is not about how many breaths you take. It's what you do with those breaths

Has anyone used 'WebsiteTonight', which is in cahoots with GoDaddy?

Are there benefits to using provider-provided site builders, or going solo, like with NVu?
They seem to offer some good back end services...
