WY,MT,ID,N.UT.....
Anyone been out yet? Big Horn? Mo? Lower Maddy? South Fork? Lost?
Despite the good snow year we are having in JH, I'm getting the itch for trout. If you've been waving a trout stick.... how is it?

MN has been good, I'll trade you couch space for couch space. If you can wait for March 1st, WI early season opens and I can all but guarantee you the most fish in a day you've ever seen.
Right now we're in the middle of a cold front but some Sunday things shoudl pick back up.

Five minutes into the drive and you're already driving me crazy...
I only get to Wisco once, maybe twice a year and I try not to drive! Sounds fun though! Been a long time since I hit up the streams of western WI.
Let me know if you make it out this way.
Collected about 16 inches of snow underfoot on the felts (looked like Herman Munster shoes) on the Middle Provo last Wed. A few 12-14 inch browns on #22 sows and saw some sippers on midges that I couldn't wrangle.
Time for ice off in my book.

Today didn't suck, tried to fish on Friday but the high was 2 degrees while I was at the river, Saturday was great skiing in Jackson and back home today for the warmest day of the year. Here's a pix of my best fish today.

HELL YEAH!!!! Nice one adipose!!! I need to get out on the water soon, but too much ice around here right now.
I just found out that my parents are going to be up this way towards the tail end of March. We are most likely going to fish the Platte near Casper, but quite possibly the Riverton region (Wind River or Sweetwater) and JH area as well - although while in JH (well, staying in Driggs) we may be skiing instead of fishing. I will let you guys know when my plans begin to materialize - perhaps we can meet up when I am in your respective neighborhoods.
edit - btw, my dad has a Clackacraft that is stored in Riverton at my uncles house (my mom & dad live in Venezuela at the moment).![]()

schwerty, will the Teton River near Driggs be open for fishing by late March? I can't remember when thge season opens over there. I have fished that river many times, but it usually in July/August/September. Also, what will be open on the JH side?
The Teton doesn't open until later in the spring.
The Snake in JH is open year round below the Park bridge in Moose. The Hoback is also open. The Snake is worth fishing if we get some warmer days. The South Fork should be in then! Some good fishin on some of the open section of the Henry's fork too.
Let me know before you come this way.
Mid to late March is the prime F-fishing time in Fremont Co. if you know where to go. Drop a PM and I'll try to help you out. Here's a couple from that time frame last year.
I have a few acres north of town to store a Clack if needs be, hell I'll even give it some excersie once in a while to keep it healthy.![]()
Adipose -
I'll be heading up there in late March for a few days. You around?
Yep, if I'm not skiing in Jxn I'm fishing. PM me if you want to see some new country.
you lucky bastards I'm stuck builing rods, tying flys, and (gasp) skiing
Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care
