    Sierra specific avi books

Anybody know if any of the avi books (knowledge, training, techniques etc.) are specific to the Sierra's unique snow conditions.
    thanks

You lucky bastards and your stable maritime snowpack!! I'm jealous! I wouldn't have to pull up my skirt as much when digging snow pits if I lived there!

Ya there is definitely something to be said for stabilty, but oddly enough I don't feel a bit sorry for you. Maybe because those days Im tryin to break through the the concrete crust that looks like Hechtor and Muneul just poured it, you are worried about how wet you thong is gonna get from the fluffy pow.

I'm an Aussie and I bought that locally. Although I agree it's a worthy source (I've read it twice). There must be a whole world of stuff out there, some more specific.

Not sure what you mean by more specific. If you want local Sierra info, try http://www.sierraavalanchecenter.org/ for the tahoe area or
    http://www.esavalanche.org/ for the east side
