The Democratic Party giving masses of people the right to have ANY say in their choice as their presidential canidate nominee is just that, their choice. How much of a say is totally up to them. If they wanted to amend their charter so that just the single head of the party single handedly choose their candidate then if that is what they want to do then they can do that. It's like you are complaining to the directors of Microsoft that they didn't consult with the American people before naming the new CEO.
When I talk about the American political system I'm referring to all steps that a candidate must take between declaring eligibility and putting up his kids pictures in the oval office. I really could care less if its governed by the constitution or the charter, the primary system is a crucial step. And from what happened in Nevada (look at a thread by Jim S for more on this) I don't think its a fair system.
I know that theres nothing I can do about this, and that its the parties choice , but from an idealistic perspective, I want better.
