No fair. I thought I was the most unimproved -- 36 days last year, 10 this year.

Well, you can get a lot of runs in at WaWa. So that's like two days right there.

I went from about 75 to low twenties. I can only imagine how you must feel.

    pffft. y'all are slackers.

7 days on the hill this year. One dislocated shoulder. One damaged axillary nerve. One fully torn rotator cuff. One surgery. 6 months on my ass.

I'm must be at least in the top three of most unimproved .

but my left handed air hockey skills are definitely stronger.

4 days this year (really more like 2 1/2 full days), one blown ACL

Most annoying thing is that the day before I got hurt, I felt like I had made a big jump forward in skiing the trees, carrying more speed and flowing through them.

    Damn it.

My question is this though: Is it better to have more days, or better quality days? Would you rather have 10 excellent powder days, or 50 of EC conditions with maybe one good powder day in there among them. I'd have a hard time deciding.

Perhaps this ? deserves its own thread...

I think I win the unimproved title.

A BUNCH of days last year, 0 days this year. Yep, I said 0.

The stoke on this board is what kept me sane.

I was basically in a foul mood from December till March. I will make up for it next year though.

30 last year, down to 5 this year. And each one spent in the gates in pursuit of a Nationals invite. Got the invite, didn't get the tax return, so Nationals out, thereby negating the 5 days spent trying to attain it.

    Net days = 0.

I thought my 5 days would definitely win me the most unimproved award......I wish I could be positive and say next year was going to be different, but the second Canuk Jr. shows up in early November, so another season is down the drain....
I went out there in search of experience. To taste, and to touch, and to feel as much as a man can, before he repents.

I wonder if Redskea managed to get the full 300 days she was trying for this year.

At first this thread seemed depressing, but now I'm starting to feel like a ski god, keep it up.

edit: but then Geoff posted and now it's depressing again.

that day at 7 springs i saw one of your no ka oi's outside of the foggy goggle, i wasn't even skiing. i was hanging out after a rough night of partying in the main lodge bavarian lounge... an experience which culminated with me waking up in bed up in a condo on top of goosebumps with a girl who's name i didn't/don't know.

when i saw that ski outside of the lodge, at first i wanted to find the owner (who must have some kind of maggot connection) but then i realized what an embarassment i was at the time. having breakfast at adolph's with three girls i'd met the night before was only slightly less painful than skiing ice-bumps all day long would've been.

i'm not sure if that makes you or anyone else a ski god, but it does make me whatever the opposite of a ski god might be.

it's not isolated behavior. last weekend of the tahoe summit, there was a party on that friday night at kirkwood in the beaver. after flying out to san fran, driving across california to squaw and then around the lake down to the wood from squaw through pitch-black darkness i finally made it to a maggot summit event... after years of failed plans, including having eaten the cost of a plane ticket out to spokane last year.

i walked into the bar, handed tyrone a can of iron city, had two beers at the bar and then left.

I had two Diet Cokes and then left. A cruel combination of jetlag and Splat rapping through a set of headphones did for me.

    Last season: roughly 120 dayz
down 1 pair of G4s to some theif at my house and another pair of borrowed AK Enemys to a mini slide in the Kootenay BC. Down 2 pairs of skis sucks but at least I skied a boatload of dayz.

    This season: 18 dayz
down 1 pair of megabangs from an aggressive teleturn that ripped the entire binding and shim out of the topsheet. Down 1 pair of Explosives and 1 pair of AK Rockets to a USPS that is proving costly. I am dependant on the guy that mailed me the skis to find the receipt. Looking grim.

Even though I will recoup something from the USPS debacle, I'll take (120, -2) to (18, -3) any year.

I hereby throw my name into the hat.

Just to make this more confusing though....

If ever there was a day and a meeting spot to blow off, it would have been that cold bulletproof day at Magic. You were there, right on schedule after a couple hours rest the night before.

" Are you the guy I'm supposed to be meeting? "

Wait, then again, that was a sick day for you, and I was the only guy in the lodge, never mind....

He also hooked with vinzclortho and that crazy drunk Wizard in Boston, I've been ducking Wizard for three years but Acostiga steps up and goes out drinking with him...I'm having a hard time figuring out the pattern here.
