It's 5:08 pm. I have been working on an honors project for 6 hours. It is nowhere near done. I have 2.5 days to: finish this project, do a huge take-home exam, write an honors paper, write a business plan, and study for 3 finals. All this was assigned last week. My friends are taking bets on how much of it I will actually get done. The odds are stacking up against me.

But, I can't complain, it's completely my fault... I went skiing last weekend. And I will graduate anyways, to hell with 'em.

Life is good.

Damn. Coffee, girl, and lots of it! There's nothing like a little deadline pressure to kick you into high gear. In college, I started most of my papers at midnight the night before they were due, and I usually got As and Bs on them. I would just crank, stumble into class, drop them off, and go back to bed. Worked like a charm.

My sidebar conversation with the hot chick sitting next to me was about skiing....pretty soon the 15 people in the meeting were talking ski stories for the rest of the meeting, and the original meeting topic was pushed off 'til tomorrow, at which point we'll probably continue talking about skiing

It's 5:35 and I can say I haven't done much better - I spent the better part of my morning emailing weekend reports, and the afternoon posting about them . . . I spiced up the day a bit by talking about hydrocarbons, but never stopped thinking about skiing :-)
