Where would I find the best touring the first two weeks of June?

Lower 48, within 10-12 hours of SLC. Between the 3rd and 12th of June.

Normally the Eastern Sierra, but it is melting quick this year. Try Shasta and Lassen. Do you enjoy 7,000 foot runs?

Not if they eat gummy bears off of fences. Gives 'em constipation.

Look just a little east of UT. 12-14,000 ft corn in CO. San Juans are usually pretty epic in June. Can prolly find 3,000 ft. descents if you poke around a little.

East side of the Sierra, anywhere along 395 between Tioga Pass and Bishop.....395, the Peak Riders Highway, as they call it....

Tioga should be smoove..but meling quick apparently. Good car camping options and day trips abound....buy "Classic Sierra Ski Descents", good route profiles and beta on Dana, Tioga shots, Whitney, Bloody, Humpreys, Palasides and all the other classics in that area...

Then make your way up to Shasta for some ski mountaineering: 7000 up, 7000 down....all in 1 day if you like alpine starts and feeling crazy, or break it up and camp at Helen Lake....

    Have fun!

Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood.

The snow is melting really fast so they might not be good options this year.

Rainier always has snow and you could easily spend a week circumnavigating the mountain and/or touring the adjacent peaks within the park boundry.

Okay Can'tdog. This is your official invite to come hang with the Colorado crew. We snapped a pic of the crew in your preferred accomodations. Sorry, it's not in Butte, but we knew you'd still enjoy camping under it. Cheers!

What the hell are you talking about? Are you now under the impression that Canada is considered one of the lower 48?

    Second that.

I bet the mirror lake highway in the Uinta's will be open by then, some decent road side skiing with hikes under an hour for decent amount of vert (not a ton, but you can get multiple laps in before noon). The east and north side of Baldy are short hikes. Although, if it stays in the upper 80's for all of May, there won't be much to choose from. You can drive to the Mirror Lake Pass in about and hour and a half, if that.
