Good luck to those guys but I am pulling for Meatsaw (currently 15th), just because of the name.

The venue today (mt. roberts) should be exciting to watch! I made an inspection run on it with mitchey yesterday after the qualifier. It's got a lot of big features in it with really punchy fast snow in the landings. Should make for some interesting landings and people hauling ass.

The kid currently in first (Dane Tudor) is a ripper. He won the junior division here in CB for 4 or 5 years in a row, but his scores were often better than us old dudes. He's got park skills, too. Kinda surprised he isn't a tgr or msp star yet.

Good luck everyone, hope you get a nice clear day on Roberts, that venue rules.

Does anyone have video? Maybe biglines? Alex Blais is another guy who should be interesting to watch in the future. He seems like he is always having fun.

    Oh... http://biglines.com/blarticles/3822/...ualifier_VIDEO

I'm going to have to forsake the TGR crew for my boy Lyle in 18th. The rest of our crew didn't make it in.
Move along nothing to see here.

Rough day. I was in 12th. Knew I had to send it to make up some ground. Worst faceplant ever. Just crushed, couldn't breathe for a really long time, rang my bell. I'll be hurting tommorrow in a major way. It's all part of the game though.
    Next one.

Had a pretty good upper section. Big fast turns and airs. Came to the snaggletooth rock...which someone apparently backflipped, which is absolutely insane...rolled off the top because there's a super small tranny then to dead flat. Felt good in the air, spotted my landing, which was a rock that wasn't there during inspection, and my skis just came to an absolute dead stop and my body kept going.

Stomping to rock is part of comps so I was a totally taken aback by what had happened. I was talking to Jim Jack and apparently through the binos the rock kicked one of my skis instantly over the other. Crossed tips right on landing. Never had that happen before. I had some big stuff planned for the bottom few airs, but I was in way too much pain to try anything else. Found my ski and mellowed it down.

The next comp will be crushed for sure!!

I was pretty happy going into the semis today in the top ten, but I too got snagged on snaggletooth rock. The landing was punched and so was I. Oh well, I went down fighting and had a great time!
