What kind of radios

Just wondering what kind of two-way radios you guys use?

as annoying as cell phones are, when a phone is vibrating in your pocket it is way less annoying than those beep calls that the little radios use. plus they are way more private. at least i only have to listen to half of the conversation when someone is talking on the phone, and not both people talking at the top of their lungs over the ten other people who are trying to use the same frequency on a radio.

when you hand someone one of those walkie talkies and they instantly become an "expert" in cb lingo. breaker breaker whats your 20, 10-4 roger that good buddy, copy, over and out. if you are going to talk on that thing just talk, and leave the radio lingo to the cops and firemen.

i personally like to get ahold of one of those radios, flip through the channels calling out in a panicked high pitched voice. "mommy!!! daddy!!! help, i'm lost at the base. come down and get me!!!" great way to thin the lift lines at the top of the mountain.

This is why I prefer 2M (amateur) radios.
Better quality than those shitty FRS/GMRS radios, better range, more power, and sinc eyou have to be licensed ot use them, you don't get the stupid trucker CB lingo or other idiots trying to yell over each other.

Not to mention the fact that they will carry MUCH farther than a Cell phone, and there are 2M repeaters at most ski resorts (snowbird has 2, Brighton has 1 or 2, there are several repeaters accessable from Park City).
