    Thanks for the cuntribution.

They skied (very poorly) into a roped off area, with no way out, in high avalanche conditions, read the warning signs, had absolutely no plan, and were wearing helmet cams!!! No avy gear, poor skiing skills, no training, and no clue! That whole part of the mountain was closed because they didn't know if anyone else was caught in their slide, and all the patrol were called in to do a manual search for victims. The wosrt part was the kids seemed to have no clue about the dangers that thet put others in that day! They were running for mommies condo when the patrol caught up with them!
These kids got off lucky if you ask me!

P.S.- If you little dweeds are reading this, DON'T COME BACK EVER AGAIN!! You suck!

I can't watch the video at this point (at work)....

I will say that is quite a blunt statement but I agree with you. Their IGNORANCE is what almost got them killed, but bringing up where they are from does not help your point at all.

I guess you can only say they are stupid idiots on this board if they actually die
in the avalanche. In the future don't put is so bluntly, I mean show some respect

Bear Creek and the rest of the T-ride bc is NO JOKE, easily some of the most dangerous easily accessed bc in the country.

I don't mean to be disrespectful to anyone that is innocent but sheeeesh! If you can't "diss" on these fools, than who the heck can you diss on? I mean really. Stop picking ME apart (trying to ASSume that I just moved to town, etc...) for just a minute and lets get back to the point at hand here. These kids did a really dumb thing!...and almost died.....and could of killed others in the process!

People are giving you a hard time because Chaka played you like a ten cent fiddle, like an internet n00b, like a JONG. I sure as feck don't have a problem calling these Texas fecktards out for what they are, and I doubt many others do either. I was going to make a comment about Darwin getting robbed but I forgot to.

Look at post 10 again. More carefully.

    IMHO

Mountains do not discriminate. They can not tell if your from Texas or Telluride.

The only thing nature will judge you by is the decisions you make. Nothing else.

"Hey man lets duck the rope and make snowplow turns down the cliffed out terrain trap gully then gape around at the top of the cliff till it slides."

"Um I don't think we should"

"But look there's a powder area"

    "Ok lets go be retarded"

I think this illustrates a lack of eduction that is very hard to address. Their prime concern was getting caught not the stability or terrain. Before living at a ski resort and spending time around locals and patrol I know I didn't have any idea how dangerous it can be. I'm just thankfull I was to chicken in my gaper days to duck ropes. I have no idea how to educate the masses but it needs to be done because at the end of the day threats from patrol only go so far.

Prehaps a complimentary avy eduction video in hotel rooms at ski areas?
