McCain is the ultimate politician. Here is a good link to what some of the POW's have to say about him. He might have something that if he makes it Clinton or Obama might be able to use against him.

There are a lot of experienced veterans on another board that I am a part of whose opinions I respect because they are a lot older than I am and were around when all that was going on. They believe it. Veterans are a tough bunch and really aren't worried about pulling the wool over someones head. They have seen a lot more shit than most.

Yeah and there are a lot of veterans wandering around the street claiming to have been visited by UFOs and hunted by the CIA. What's your point? You know how many millions upon millions upon millions of veterans there are? You don't think that there MIGHT be SOME that are non-Republicans with differering views from McCain? I seriously doubt a man who spent years being tortured by a country who he has said he will always hate with a passion would turn his back on other tortured men to secure a trade deal that is probably worth 20 or 30 bucks max to our 12 trillion dollar economy.

Experienced old veterans are more immune to politics than McCain, an old experienced veteran who refused early release and special treatment and chose to stay and be TORTURED rather than leave his men? I think McCain has seen more than his share of shit. I find it hard to believe he would then sell out the same people he suffered for.

I do find it very believable that those politically opposed to the man would spread rumors about him to discredit him. Perhaps the rumor starters weren't veterans, perhaps they were.
