Two-Way Radios

I am currently using the Motorola Talkabout T7400 radios for in-bounds and some backcountry communications. This model is ok and the NOAA weather feature is nice for updates. The radio is a little long with the antennae and is difficult to fit into a radio pocket or inside jacket pocket. I would like to get some feedback as to what others are using for their radios? Also anyone using VOX/or hands free head sets with any success?

I use Cobra PR5060 for hunting. It's a little big since it used AA batteries. It comes with an earpiece with a PTT (push to talk) button on the mic making the VOX nonfunctional.

I have a really small Audiovox radio but it doesn't work in the cold. it's fine at room temperature but after a while in the freezer it's DOA.
