Hmm, let me try this ... "President Barack H. Obama" ... ok, I think it'll work.

If by "Slow Death" you mean "Awesomeness turbocharged" then I agree. Bill Richardson would make a great VP, IMHO, FWIW, YMMV.
Ask the NYFD and NYPD. Both blame him directly for their inability to radio each other on that fateful day. Something about funds earmarked for upgrades to the communications infrastructure being re-routed to upgrade certain rooms in Gracie Mansion.
No, I'm not kidding.
See, this is why we keep having to decide between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. Hill's been a senator for a short period of time and she was First Lady (). Yeah, I want her in the whitehouse. Maybe the Reps should exhume Nancy Reagan. I mean, she started the whole "Just say no" thing - she's more than qualified.
Or they could just call her. Hell she's probably got a better chance at winning than Mitt at this point.
Congrats to Jer for extending his streak of posts including at least one use of the word "douche."
You don't think she never lived in the city?
And that's just the tip of the iceberg with him. He was a good prosecutor, but he'll make a very bad president.
With him you can look forward to divisive racial politics, widespread corruption, cronyism and graft combined with further eroding of your rights in the name of 'security' and 'law enforcement'.
Plus any idiot who interrupts speeches to answer a cell phone call from his wife does not have his priorities straight. Stunts like that don't mix with the responsibilities of the oval office.

I come up hard, baby but now I'm cool I didn't make it, sugar playin' by the rules
If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn't have to ask me, who the heck do I think I am.
So what do you NYers think of a Obama/Bloomberg ticket? I don't think it is likely, but it's tough to predict who Obama will pick.
If Obama ends up getting the nomination, what about Wesley Clark as VP.
The main criticism of those two, (Obama/Bloomberg) will be inexperience in politics. Plus, that's just too much ethnicity for John Q American to vote for.
Strategically, the dems will have to partner someone with more experience with Obama if he goes the distance. They need to find an LBJ to match with their JFK candidate.

Don't get the cart in front of the horse there buddy. Obama is still down 20 points in the national polls, and Iowa doesn't mean nearly as much as you would like to believe. If he wins big in New Hampshire, then I would say you can start talking about VP picks. Hold off til wednesday.
A lot of people I know here would be very excited about Bloomberg getting involved in the race. Personally I don't have real strong feeling about him either way. However, I would be more interested in seeing him getting involved as a third party candidate rather than with either party.
To all you Obama supporters, could you tell me what the centerpiece of his administration would be? What would he be doing for the first 100 days of his administration?
Hillary is pretty clear that healthcare would be her centerpiece, that and creating a green economy.
Edwards cares a lot about poverty.
What the hell does Obama stand for? Hoping for an agenda?
Alright, I've tried to be civil about Hillary, but this seals the deal. She is a piece of shit.

Fuck her.
We have seen that shit before. If she wins the nomination, you won't hear a peep of support from me from Feb 6 until the day she loses the general against some worthless Republican asshat.
Massliberal, you should be ashamed of yourself for defending her while ignoring Obama's many clearly stated policy goals.

Why would I be ashamed of myself? I'm asking a legitimate question. What has Obama stood for over the course of his career? You don't have an answer for it so you do exactly the same thing republicans do, attack the candidate. I didn't say that Hillary is perfect, I'm only pointing out a fact, Obama's policies are hollow and vastly inferior to those of both Edwards and Clinton. He has neglected many of his duties as Chair of European Research Committee, and has never taken a solid stance on defining issues. If he wants to be a viable candidate in the general, he needs a better message than Hope.
and he will need to answer many, tougher questions than the ones I'm asking.

I don't see where you can call Mass out here root. Obama is the most elusive of the bunch, apparently for good reason.
I'm not a Hillary defender but she isn't afraid to put a finger in someone's eye and has some well defined plans. Edwards takes it a step further by taking a clear stands on important issues and he promises to poke out some eyes. This is called going out on a limb. Vulnerable, but we know where he stands.
Obama is throwing softballs. To quote innumerable blogs, he is refusing to offer up 'red meat' in order to expand his appeal beyond the party base. Its obviously a strategy that is working for him at this point, no fault in that, but I think some of us want a little more crust and a little less pie.
The rovian response? do you know anything about politics? A rovian response is to distract people from the issues towards extracurricular shit such as an individuals history in the army, whether a memo about someone's national guard service is legit, or if someone sired an illegitimate black baby. So that a candidate can get away from the fact that he is weak in areas that the other is strong.
