carson pass today
obligatory round top shot
we skinned to here, and then it was all downhill.
the corn was just about perfect
almost all
the way to the river
hey, you said it was all downhill
there was lots more of this crap
we were gonna hit Life on the Edge and then head around back to the pass, but it was already 3 so we opted to drop in the quick way home (home pictured below).
she is a colorful rock
the first 3 turns were good winter snow, then it got firm so we headed over towards the stuff under moon couloir
the skies wavered between greybird and milkbird most of the day. then it turned completely overcast
back close to the pass, there was some winter snow in the trees.

Nice work, looks pretty tasty up there!

Negative, always 2 days late & no babysitter when the right day arrives. looked at it on tues. evening and it looked pretty meager up there. Lots of pepper fields. might have to wait till next year.nice job hitting pipeline nuthon. we were gonna hit that today till the tour idea was sprouted. and now that i know there were tracks in it already i think we made the right choice. did you ever tag jobs???
Powdork: consistently getting it done. Well done, man.
Thanks for the update powdork, was thinking about rt this weekend if I can kick this cold in time and get my skis mounted up.
From laste w/e...
Mrs MT skinning up w/ some pretty blue puddle below her
some legacy tracks, apparently it's been a little windy up on tallac
Jimmy McHUGE in Baby Cham on saturday
genavive getting into the cross
genavive lower in the cross
Mrs MT exiting the cross (yeah it's a little tilted)
from rubicon on sunday
craig riding the EB chutes on Monday in some pristine corn
then we cracked a couple PBRs at the bottom and headed up to some $$$ powder in the steep northfacing trees. Could barely we scored about another 1500' of untracked that long after the storm.
A good friend would come bail you out of jail. A great friend would be sitting next to you saying..."but damn that was FUN"
Emerald Bay chutes were awesome today, perfect corn.
Didn't get out in the BC this weekend but snapped a few photos while at Sierra with my kiddies.
Pyramid look'n Tasty
South face of Ralston?.....one of the most sun blasted aspects out there
Also slipped under the ropes to take a quicky of Huckleberry. If any of these next storms pan out I may finally try and get back here for some slack...

nice....
pyramid from echo lakes????? way to check that one off the list but damn if it hasn't looked pretty shitty all year w/ the wind rapeage.
Yes, I did go from Echo, but the way in from twin bridges actualy looked way easier. I met this dude at the top that came in that way with 2 kids and it looked much easier that way, He said that he used to go in from the Leaf 30 years ago. From Echo it is long but mostly flat.
I had to post these from our re-run Tallac tour last weekend.
Stevo the magnificent and I found this thing with a booter up it so we partook.
Stevo pointing us in the right direction from the top.
