    Any pre-release problems with Fischer/Tyrolia?

I'm looking for some new bindings.(to mount on the new Movement Goliaths) It's been years since I skied Tyrolia and back in the dark ages they had a problem with pre releasing when you loaded the toe. I'm skiing 914's with them cranked and occasionally release when I shouldn't - but not too bad. I go about 195# - Any of the bigger maggots have any experience with the Fischer/Tyrolia?

They prerelease like crazy with worn sole toe plates. Like, Marker bad. As a result, Salomon boots = bad, Fischer boots with replaceable toe and heel lugs = good. Otherwise, great bindings.

Sorry, that's the tank tread. There's no toe height adjustment like with Salomon (and look/rossi) bindings, so worn sole lugs really affect release values. That's why Salomon boots don't have replaceable lugs, and Fischer boots do.

I've got 60 days on some mojo 15's. No pre-releases, released when needed.

I'm 200 lbs and ride both the X17 and Mojo15. No issues at all with the X17, but I have to run them a few DIN higher than my P18's to avoid pre-releases.

The heel piece of the Mojo15 starting to chip at the contact point of the boot which could become a problem if it gets any worse.
I seem to have confused my intentions with my abilities...

DIN 15 and over: Decent bindings, but you need to add at least 1,5 to your normal Look/Ross/Salomon DIN setting to avoid prerelease.

DIN 14 and down: Not good. Low DIN Tyrolia is even worse than Marker in many aspects. They totally suck.

I have three pairs of ff17s, all on race skis.

I pre-released once, i think i twisted out of the toe on a high-G gs turn.

I wish i has the FF18s though, that way i would have the solid AFDs not the tank track.

But overall i am happy with them, probably 120 days between the three pairs and only one pre-release, not too bad.

I love my mojo15s...more so than the p14s and s914s mounted on my other skis. They feel and sound solid and I haven't had any release issues.

All of my bindings are set in the 10.5-11.5 range and I can't say the tyrolia releases any sooner than the salomons.

Tyrolias need plenty of forward pressure. Make sure yours are adjusted correctly. If you don't have enough forward pressure, you will prerelease constantly no matter how high you set the DIN.

I love the Race toe versions, LD12 and the non-race toes are o.k. and a great consumer bindings. Stick with the race toe versions 14 Din + or 15 Din if you use Fischers as their 14 Din still have the light diagonal toe rather than the aero/race toe. Like everyone said, with a boot in spec they work fine but lack a toe height adjustement but so does Look/rossi so......save your worn out boots for Salomon and watch the height adjustment as it and the wing adjustments will strip out as they enter their geriatric years. In my opinion most bindings are great in their youth but used they become junk unless your into the race versions.
