Can we stop with the "jinx" stuff?

I realize everyone wants a big storm, and as hard as it may be to believe...I want a big storm just as much as they next guy, but really...does anyone actually believe it's possible to jinx a storm? If it's all in fun, which I realize much of it is, then fine. But seriously, if you really believe bringing up a storm on a message board is jinxing it, then you have bigger problems to worry about.

So....here's hoping to a decent storm this weekend, we'll see what happens. I will not die in my sleep tonight. (I hope I didn't just jinx myself)

Jinx is a cool name for a possibly asian sidekick who's good with computers and gadgets, reminiscent of Data from The Goonies.

ok... to be honest, I can't stand that shit either. I know shit-talking is par for the course, but getting hostile responses to posts about a forecast or anticipating a storm is ridiculous. just another excuse to be a douche.

    Thank you Telephil.

I've heard enough blabber from the black magic believers as well.

I'd rather lynch the weatherman. Sorry RB

meh, I've seen xover single handedly turn a cottonwoods forecast from:

    16-18 60%
    20-24 40%

    into a big 6" dusting.

I am alive and well, thank you very much. I do appreciate your thoughts of me though. We're pretty busy here trying to turn all this precip into ice.

Of course its possible to jinx a storm, looks like you are well on your way to single handedly nullifying a balls deep storm for ewwtah, congrats.

If you jinx a jinx, do they cancel out or double up? Is there such a thing as a triple-dog-jinx? What about hexing a jinx? How does the evil eye come in to play here? Inquiring minds want to know.

I think that if you sacrifice an animal to Ullr weekly, then all will be well in the world of skiing, jinxes be damned.

    God doesn't everybody know that?

You probably don't believe in god, Jesus Christ, the Easter bunny or Santa Claus. What a shallow life.

Positive vibes and good karma for the next big storm...hey it works it just dumped in Mammoth.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

I have to admit, that one made me laugh...and actually, I believe he does. That's why I'm bringing this up. We discussed it on our three hour ride yesterday (on the trainer of course). And thanks for the vibes, I can feel them from wherever you are and it might just be enough to get me up there this weekend.

I'm with you, last time I checked talking shit on here won't turn the atmoshpere around, just peoples inner fears from their obsesive compulsive disorders. Secretly, everyone on here is crossing thier fingers and wanting the same as you.
