    The Yankees suck.

Yes, yes they do. And I love it.

Savor the moment boys and girls!

Sox take 5 of last 6 with a win today...
    ________
Before Rodriguez led off the seventh with an infield single, the Yankees had just one hit off Bronson Arroyo -- Rodriguez's third homer and first at Yankee Stadium for New York.

The Yankees came in hitting .228, next to last in the American League, and looked every bit as bad. They went 4-for-36, and except for three singles in the seventh never really looked comfortable at the plate.

Derek Jeter went 0-for-5 and doesn't have a hit in 21 at-bats, the longest hitless streak of his career. Bernie Williams, dropped to eighth in the order, also went hitless in five at-bats and is in a 1-for-31 slide.
    Craig Kelly is my co-pilot.

EC mini at the Stadium today- basom, CantDog, iceman, Mr. Rutecki, and myself in the hizzzouse- and needless to say, conditions were excellent. And upon my return home- ho ho ho! What have we here?- some shiny Spatulas upon the couch!

yep, only 4 short months until the sox blow a commanding lead for the al east and finish second to the yanks yet again.

The O's will be who the sox have to fight neck and neck with for second.

You'll see, it happens every year.

Benny, i just noticed Saratoga Springs for your location. My folks live on the Sacandaga, (mis) spent a bit of my youth up in that neck of the woods.

Still don't know how to pronounce that. This is proving to be a very cool place to live as it gets warmer. Just saw Cooperstown today.

if i remember correctly, the yankees strated last season 20-5.

and the sox didn't have a commanding lead ever last season, and they we're pretty much just fighting for a wildcard spot four months from now.

also, if a-rod wants to have just a regular a-rod type season he's going to need to produce in bonds like fashion from here on out. how many 40+ home run hitters have 1 homer in 18 games. not saying things wont turn around, maybe the yankees will pull their heads out of their asses and dominate the sox in the next few series. i wouldnt bet on it benny.

    go pedro.

You'd be a fool to bet against it basom. Has history taught you nothing? About A-Rod - I believe he hit his 3rd homer yesterday. Reggie Jackson once hit 40 home runs before the all-star break. Then he only hit 4 more the rest of the season. That's an extreme case, but it goes to show that hot and cold streaks are tend to even themselves out. A-Rod will be fine, the Yankees will be fine, and the Red Sox will lose. It's like clockwork...

    No Yankees hitting .300

I know it's only April, and yes, the Yankees will be fine, but watching the Sox win always puts a smile on my ugly mug. A sweep of the Yanks in the Bronx is a thing of beauty.

This year the Sox have the pitching to pull them through 2-run games when big hitters are on the DL and we're not hitting particularly well.

I spent yesterday afternoon at the Park Avenue Country Club with fellow Sox faithful, 1 table from Carson Daly in full Yankees regalia. By the 6th, every "Yankees Suck" cheer was followed by a, "Carson Daly's a f*g!"

Not the classiest play, but it was too funny watching him squirm and eventually get up and walk out as soon as the final out was recorded.

One more small victory for Red Sox Nation.

How about Bronson Arrollo's (sp) outing yesterday? The kid is getting stronger. It's nice to see a home grown pitching prospect start to show returns. It ain't the world series, but you're only as good as your last game, and right now, THE YANKEES SUCK!! Oh, and Jeter is 0-25 , and Nomar, Nixon, and Kim are on the dl still. I love spring.

Yeah, a Brooks Robinson imitation. Wait until the bat wakes up.

4 1/2 games isnt really comanding, but on the other hand it hasnt been 4 months yet either.

Guess the sox can cross lose the al east off their to-do list.
