Depending on what size bottles you're shipping you can either use special wine boxes with foam inserts for 22oz bottles or bubble wrap and peanuts for 12oz bottles.

I've shipped a lot of beer and only had one incident where a cap popped off and unfortunately it was a shipment to Utah where it is a Federal offense to ship alcohol even if it's one six pack for someone's birthday.

I use FedEx for my shipments and with the exception of that one bottle of beer I've had no problems.

Christ Tip - you joined a full year after me and look at your post count compared to mine.

FedEx did inform me that they would have to report my little indiscretion but I never heard anything back but I'm sure I'm a list somewhere (just one of many reasons I could be on a list I'm sure). I now ship to my friend's parents in Boise and they either bring it down or my friends pick it up.

I did not indicate there were liquids but I did indicate it was fragile. Funny thing was that with the six pack I had included a matching pilsner glass for the brewery (my friend collects them) and FedEx did deliver the glass.

Seriously - out of the all the beer & wine I've shipped this was the only time it ever happened and just think of all the "beer of the month clubs" that ship all over. My friends were never implicated in my wrong doing - you might try it and give a fake return addy & phone number (pay cash too) or do what I do and ship it to a legal state for pick-up.
