    vail this morning

    8 inches is the official overnight snowfall total. should be a fun morning. if anyone wants to hook up this morning, i'll be starting at 8:30 from lionshead, probably at the gondola, depending on the length of the line. red and gray coat, black pants, ugly green big troubles. or pm me in the next 30-40 minutes for cell #

    when in the last 24 did 8 inches fall? didn't see that in the forecast for yesterday... snotel doesn't really back it up either. over report?

    was it overnight or was it the 24 hour total? It snowed all day at vail yesterday.

    Pure white dust.....very low moisture content, just dust. Most would have been after 4pm yesterday.

    That's what I was trying to ask above. Bummer...sounds like it may have been good. If I had any thought it was a possibility for 8", I would have gotten up earlier than 7:30 and been up there today.

    8" up top was conservative. Some of the lowest density blower I have ever skied there and finally on a decent base. I even took a quick karma break and found someone's really purty Iggie.

    Nice. BC under-reported their 6" this AM, but the trees are still a little dicey until the base piles up more.

    vail was pretty sick
    first turns ive had in the light stuff and not the sticky icky cement that has been falling
    face shots were being had until 1

    is outer mongolia beat? was the sun out to sun bake all of it? Should I drive up there from Boulder for turns tomorrow? UGGGGHHHHH I hate missing the pow days.

    I was riding untouched lines at vail today until close. Powder days during the week are too good. And i don't thing Mongolia is open yet. Nothing is baked right now, snow at least.

    I saw that 8" this morning and slowly went to work and tried not to think about it. Next year I keep telling myself, next year.
