    ha!

When I saw the title, I thought "And the question for the candidate is, 'Do you think it's Constitutional?'"
"Oh, no pics. To simulate the skiing today, walk out your door, grab a handful of snow, and throw it in your face. Repeat as necessary.
If you don't have snow outside your door, what the fuck are you living there for?"

I have seen this thing in action but never paid much attention to the set up.

I guess the dude was taking a break so I shot a few pics.

^^^^^^ that pic is a regular ski, mounted teleboard. Teleboards are usually wider 120 waists.

Another interesting device is called a Skwal. Basically take a narrow carving board (mine are 18cm in the waist) and make it way narrower. Like 110mm-120mm. You still use Alpine Snowboard boots and bindings that are very similar to alpine bindings, but with a narrower footprint and limited adjustability. Run angles around 80-85 degrees. You can carve like crazy, but you better have good balance. Staying upright while standing still seems very hard. My friends who have them, all have great balance on a carving board yet they look really squirrely on their skwals. I'd like to try a Skwal, but only for the novelty of it.

I've only seen one Teleboard actually in use. It was at Sugarbowl a few years ago. May be soy, but who cares as long as they are having fun in the snow.
Skwaal and teleboard are very similar. Main difference is heel locked down and boards tend to be stiffer and narrower on skwaal.

Buddy rips teleboard all the time. Lays some serious hardpack trenches with it. Its a great option for a hardpack mountain where you are bored and need a new challenge.

I tried it ten years ago and its doable, but challenging. But then I blew up the cable bindings 1/3 down Apres Vous and had to walk down the rest of the way. Haven't done it since.

    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason
