    Concussions and foginess?

    Hey all,

I suffered a mild concussion on Saturday. No loss of conciousness, memory or ability to ski. Just some dizziness, post concussion foginess, anxiety as well as a really really sore neck and back.

How long should I expect this foginess to last? Never had it before. This is my 2nd concussion in 10 years.

The impact came from a knee to the face and a bit of whiplash.

I did have a CT scan just in case and my face isn't broken (but is huge!)

typically the symptoms from a mild concussion will last around a week to 10 days sometimes more. You should wait to do anything that would risk another hit to the head until all symptoms have subsided both at rest and with light aerobic activity.

Thanks, I feel better about it knowing this is normal. It can freak you out to not feel like yourself. Scary.

You need to be careful of long term consequences of repeated concussions. Do some reading when your feeling better. Protect your head!!
