    South American Skiing Info Project

There are maggots/minions/lurkers that are asking or looking for information on south american skiing. Conviniently enough the are some who have either information (sites, ...) or practical knowledge ( TR, insights, local knowledge...)

This is what I propose. We use this thread to create a gathering of all the information this community has come by. Let us assemble a research reference for the greater good of all. Share the wealth.

To make it easy, simple and unbiased, it would be nice if we could keep this thread info only, comments witheld . Just post links with a bref title and description.

I'm more than glad to answer specific questions just start a new tread and/or send me a pm. See ya there this summer !

Let me get the ball rolling.

This has S. American snow reports:

    http://www.goski.com/weather/wsoutham.htm

Looks like a few Chilean sites are projected to open 1st and 2nd week of June.

Anyone know of any long-range forecast sites with info for S.America?

    Thanks!

Not long range, but I heard from a reliable source that Portillo recently got about 80 cm and the forecast this week is looking, umm... yummy.
