    Blackcomb TR 12/08/07

Considering the freaky weather all week, the skiing has survived well. No rain crust up high and lots of stability on wind loaded north facing. The recent switch in wind direction beat it all down a bit. Hopefully we won't see another Hawaiian punch for this season[antijinx].

    no pineapples up here

LeeLau and co made some sweet turns on the march out to Decker

Tim and Phil make their way up to Don't Swill

Phil drops in to Don't Swill

Phil charging the sugary pow off Don't Swill

Tim sniffs out the goods on Husume

    and Maya follows

Phil charges into the wind buff at the top of Husume

BTW, for those wondering... Frozen was last seen hanging out at the Glacier creek lodge pounding Kokanees, asking the snow bunny with the fuzzy pink playboy hat if her bra & panties matched the hat while pontificating to everyone within earshot that if he was in Utah he wouldn't have even rolled out of bed for conditions like these

Sz 1 skier triggered avalanche on skintrack to Corona Bowl @ 2.00pm @ 2300m. NE aspect. Crown about 10cms on 44 degree slope. Failed on w/s. Not a clean shear on the stauchwall. Buried facets about 10 - 20 cms down. Ran about 50m.

Looks like remotely triggered by 4 - 5? person party. Slide ran from above track. Looks like one person skied out from it. Will post pics later

It's cool phil. I was saying to jameson and sharon that it would probably have been us who would set that off if we hadn't decided to yo yo some powder. "Didn't see that one coming"

oh man, I'm jealous! patiently awaiting a hopeful storm that may or may not come through here on Tue and/or Fri.

if you get a chance, can you send some base layering snow down to the central cascades? please don't make me have to come up to whistler

looking forward to making some turns with you clowns sometime later this month. but for now, keep on keeping on!

it was def more of an avalanche and not surface slough. richard dug in while the snow raced past him and robin had to ride it out
