I was skiing three bears terrain yesterday and took this pic. Pretty big slide over on the south facing side of Copper Bowl.

Sunday looks promising and it was brought to my attention that the lift served season is only half over! I consider this next half the best half.

Yet my neighbors have been driving 2 hrs away to get marginal mountain biking because they are "over" winter. Never understood that shit.

They live in the mountains and are over winter already?! Definitely live in the wrong place.
I’m so glad we’re at average snowpack and have the best part of the season coming.

the best part of the season is just starting!

It is hard to not get the biking itch when it's been 45 degrees/sunny in town the last couple days... but I'll wait a little longer.. or at least until we go to the desert for a friends birthday in two weeks.

also hard when people keep bringing in their bikes for service already. but damn if it isn't so much more fun than working on skis haha

Wake up, toss your dick in the wind and see what seems most fun for the day. Don't fight the weather. Team Flip Flops usually takes one winter trip to the beach and then they are "over it". Whether that is your choice or not, it really is part of what makes Colorado pretty cool. 60s in the desert and the city then a back to winter.

In other news, this is life in a ski town https://www.summitdaily.com/news/sum...theft-gun-dui/ Spring Break is coming. Embrace the mayhem.

On Saturday, Feb. 24, a man in Wildernest sent photos of himself to who he thought was a woman on Instagram. The Instagram user then started threatening to expose him to his friends and followers unless he sent money. The man reportedly wired the Instagram user $500 until it became clear they weren’t going to stop asking for more money. An investigation is ongoing.
    Uhhhh lol !

Super windy, warm and the clouds are already rolling in the RFV.
Already got a bike ride in, now I’ll rip a few groomers, before I go watch the WC Race.

Big night tonight. Free concert in the park, followed by a jazz brass band at the Sterling.

Yup. I mean, if they are into anything outdoors thats cool, idgaf and dont judge. But if you are gonna bitch and try to escape winter, why the fuck would you live at 9k’ in the rockies? It kinda sucks here most of the year if you dont like the cold. But at least it is cheap AF to live here.

To answer that, there are reasons.

Its not Hot AF in the summer
If you've got the money, it is kinda easy livin'
To some, the choices are city, beach or mountains

But more than anything, people gotta live somewhere. I know people than live at the beach and don't like sand or swimming.
