I don’t either. There have been 2 for 1 gas coupons to ski there for years so it’s not like it’s been expensive.
All these people bitching about how VR will ruin the town. How exactly? And how they’d be better on Ikon. Why? Ikon is Epic but different mountains.
Hopefully these two passes will spread out the CO skiing crowd (local and tourist) and everyone will benefit from it.
Does your epic pass get summer benefits at CB like mountain bike haul? That would be great for this summer.
I'm eagerly awaiting to see what Epic Summer offers... looking for that Keystone/Whistler/Vail/CB combo bike pass.

Since I’ve bought an epic pass I haven’t been down there, now that it is on the pass I will go there for sure. So there will be an uptick for sure, which is a good thing for me because they means keystone will be less crowded!
Aspen Snowmass, Copper, Steamboat > all epic mountains in CO besides the Beav.
I’m not an Eldora or WP fan, but I see the value of having those for lots of front rangers.
Outside of CO add in three day weekend capability for Jackson, Alta Bird, and extended trips for Big Sky.
Do a week in Tahoe. Ski with family when I head back to New England. All things I’m excited about for the Ikon.
Lastly, add in cheap kids passes when I buy my personal one and I can drag the kids to more places for less money.
I’ve been Loveland only for the last 4 years, though after a long time with the Epic hoard so I’m a little predisposed at hating on Vail to be honest with myself.
You should have been here yesterday!
Yeah, everyone has a different POV on what mtns are best depending on their own situation. I was just giving you hard time.
I live 10 mins from A-basin, and I have a condo in Avon, family near CB, and friends near mountains in UT. I have 0 interest in most of the Epic mountains in CO. I got the MC this year and admittedly have underused it so far because of the shitty snow year. I'd love to go back to Jackson and add in Big Sky next year. BUT I could also go to Fernie or Whistler. Hakuba if I convince the wife to put off having kids... long story.
I can't always travel for long periods during the winter, but I can sure as hell get 50 days in at the Basin, everything else is gravy.
The meltdown on CBMR social media is EPICTM
I thought we had briefly talked about a mini at Jane or Basin last spring... We should make that happen
Nice storm coming in. Going to be pouring rain on the valley floor!

There's an awful lot of people whining about how CB should have chosen Ikon (seems fairly obvious to me that as a destination resort they needed to choose one or the other or lose a LOT of business). I don't get it. Is it because a) they are buying the Ikon pass and want CB on it, b) they think Vail is the evil empire and Alterra is better (or unknown), or c) ???

Probably c) IKON will sell 1/2 as many passes to Front Rangers.
And if those people want to escape front range crowds they would have multiple options a similar distance away as CB incl Aspen and Steamboat which are more attractive to a lot of skiers. To say nothing of SLC or Jackson.
