Still well behind 2012 in CB (onthesnow says 107 so far. 143 total in 2012). Far and away my worst year here since 96...

Yeah, CB is pretty bad, but at least the fat biking is epic!

Beautiful day. With all the wind we have had it was bizarre being out above tree line with no wind. Mine Dumps skied excellent today. Lots of people out on the pass enjoying the weather and some stability.

It's going to be a dust fest on the mtb trails this year, eh?

Strangest thing today was being at the top of imperial lift with no wind. I have never experienced it so calm up there, it was insane.

Zero wind, blue bird skies, 40* temps and 4-5" of fresh in RMNP today. No complaints here.

Where upon people will start mountain biking in the mud, skipping the best snow of the year.

WP announced construction of 10 person gondola to replace Zephyr this summer along with "a complete overhaul of our snowmaking system, increased lift maintenance, snowcats, and 21 acres of logging in Eagle Wind Territory." If you liked the logging in drunken frenchman, you'll love the new Eagle Wind. Sadly, management's plan is to take steps like this to make difficult terrain more "accessible" to intermediate skiers. This is just the beginning of this kinda stuff.

Anyone got some beta on conditions at Keystone?
Can’t say I’m thrilled to be headed there this weekend but that’s where the rugrats are racing so thats where I’ll be.
Not a lot of time to explore too much if I’m actually going to watch my kids races but trail map suggests there is lots of tree skiing. Whats the dealio with the upper bowls - inbounds cat, hike, skin?

I think that the park at keystone is good, Area 51 has some nice features, and well separated with the small, medium, large park. We did the hike to up to North Bowls 8 iron last weekend, it was awesome, easily 2' of fresh, cold smoke, over the head blower, 3000 vert and steep.

Right now statewide SWE depth is 9.5", in 2012 at this time it was 11".

Got a few nice runs in at the Basin today. Approaching day 50 by my calculations. Icy, flat light, and hudge bumps. Pretty fun!
