Did they do something to Frenchman other than the new trail? Which admittedly changes the whole character of those trees, but so it goes.

What stashes did they shut down?

I don't mind them grooming something other than just Sleeper, high speed mach looney runs can be fun.

This was my first full weekend up there this year, had a lot of fun, skied all over the mountain on Saturday and shredded with kiddo on Sunday.

It is sunny in San Diego

Btw Snowbird/Alta and Jackson Hole/targhee got hammered while Colorado got wind and a little snow. ULLR hates mountain bikers apparently so shut up about your shitty trails.

I have had a blast up there the past two weekends. I get things done in town and at the house in the morning. Roll up and grab early lunch on the way, park in a vacated spot about 100' from Challenger, and ski until they kick me off.

Grading with the new trail right across the steepest part of Frenchman is what chaps my hide. But ruining that glade is a bummer too.

They have trees off Vasquez marked as "closed" and there are some great lines through there. Others remain lesser known and still hold nice snow after the "powder hour". But there has been a marketing push to blog/post about the tress more, it seems.

I will always ski there, though. I love the place, changes and all.

I lost all hope for them after they fucked up Parsenn bowl and backside Parsenn.

Not that I wouldn’t ever ski there again but sad to see happy spot gone.

It's that age old conundrum, when you make access more reasonable, more people ski it, and the magic is gone. But fuck, that was so much goddam work to ski that back in the day, lol.

Parsenn Bowl has pretty much always sucked. Even when that crappy old double chair served it.

Well, I took "Parsenn Bowl" not to just mean the alpine bowl itself. There were a lot of trees that held snow for days, even without heading to backside Parsenn. Now, with the quad and with Eagle Wind, both of those stashes are gone. So I get why people miss them.

I dunno - those "stashes" were awfully low-angle and short. NTTAWWT.

    No.

    No it didn't.

Eldora has, since the beginning of time, sucked donkey nuts.

    YMMV.

...to pile on the Wanker Pancake hate parade. My sources say the gondi from the base to lunch cock stopping at sunspot it probably happening this summer.

I went up Saturday afternoon. It is as if we skiing January, February & March. The snow pack was looking December like and now it is looking April like. I'm hoping we finish off strong up it is not looking likely.
